In Tuscany, this past vacation, my favorite part of the day was waking up before the crickets, they were early risers there, and take a long walk on the beach, with my dogs. Now that I am home I continue the habit. Instead of walking them when it is hot, and too sunny, I get out of bed and immediately step outside. It sets the day, and it gives me so much more energy.
Of course I miss the swim that came right after the walk. There is nothing better than eating breakfast, wrapped in a big beach towel, all refreshed.
