It all feels right: The romantic and the beachy reading nook

I decided I needed a window bench/reading nook by accident, having rearranged my furniture. When I was trying to find the best place for my desk I pushed an old chest under the window. I sat down at my desk, satisfied with its spot and Jack jumped on the chest to look out of the window. I put a pillow for him there—he was old cold in a minute. Of course, I immediately imagined myself nestled there next to him, curled up with a good book.
By putting the chest there, It also solved the question of where I wanted my storage in the study. Pairing  a closet and bookcases with said chest, encasing the window with them, it seemed like a no-brainer, and I immediately started measuring. Now, it's a bit frustrating to plan out your room, deliveries are delayed, and some home shops are closed, at least for the next two weeks. But I managed to get the paint for the chest. And found the perfect bookcases and convinced Marlon to build them in for me.

These are the two styles of nooks I like the most, and it will come down to a mix of the two. For now, I will use my imagination...
