Emma Roberts and pink kitchens

Last year, I mulled over the colour of my kitchen for quite some time, and I finally settled on a shade called Wevet. I pushed my kitchen maker to use the original Farrow and Ball paint, but I don't know if they did or notHonestly, I think their Wevet might be a tad less pink than what I had in mind, but you know that trend: how would I decorate my house, if I lived alone...Anyway that is all I'm saying. ( I sneaked some pink in!!)

Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "Pink for a kitchen? And yes, I'll admit, it's not the most conventional choice. But have you seen some of the gorgeous pink kitchens popping up lately? I mean, Emma Roberts and Brigette Romanek have some seriously stunning spaces. So, who knows? Are we heading for a slew of pink cabinets?

Oh, and if you're looking to hack your own kitchen... In my downstairs kitchen, I used a Farrow and Ball colour on some Ikea cabinets by ordering the fronts at , where you can choose your own F&B colour.

And for those of you wondering which Farrow and Ball pink shade is the perfect one, might I suggest...wait for it...Wevet! I'm a total Wevet fan girl. even if it might not be the right Wevet. But seriously, Elephants Breath (the one Brigette used) and Pink Ground are gorgeous.

What I loved about Emma Roberts kitchen is that she used an Urban Outfitter's island, who knew? The gorgeous Italian chandelier and do I spot some Ernestine of Salento ceramics? The orange Le Creuset?!

And here is to embracing the unexpected while designing!
